Herbal Ginger And Turmeric Tea

A delicious homemade tea that's packed full of anti-inflammatory ingredients.

A soothing and health-packed tea that's known for its anti-inflammatory benefits. This tasty homemade tea is perfect for an evening drink that can be a smart substitute for your usual coffee or tea. It can help you cut down your caffeine intake and add in loads of health benefits.
Ingredients
1 teaspoon grated fresh turmeric (or 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric)
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
2 cups water
Honey or maple syrup to taste (optional)
Lemon slices (optional)
Instructions
1. In a small saucepan, bring the water to a simmer over medium heat.
2. Add the grated turmeric and ginger to the simmering water.
3. Let the mixture simmer for about 5-10 minutes to allow the flavours to infuse.
4. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the tea cool slightly.
5. Strain the tea into cups using a fine-mesh sieve or tea strainer to remove the grated turmeric and ginger.
6. Sweeten the tea with honey or maple syrup to taste, if desired.
7. Add a slice of lemon for added flavour.
8. Stir well and serve your turmeric ginger tea hot.
